A little less than two weeks ago we went to Stratford-Upon-Avon for one of our Wednesday fieldtrips. We visited almost all of the Shakespeare properties, which was a little much for me, but it was cool nonetheless. Later that night we went to a Shakespeare play called the tempest. It was put on by the royal shakespeare company. It was really good! Here are a few pictures from the trip.....
Me at one of the Shakespeare Properties...His wife's
house maybe? They kind of all look the same :)
Me feeding the ducks on the River Avon...
hence the name, 'Stratford-Upon-Avon'
So this is us at the theater...It was an amazing performance!
I loved a Shakespeare play...you can quote me on that!
I had friend who went to London on Study abroad and when she saw a Shakespeare play by the royal shakespeare company there were naked men in. She was quite disturbed so be careful =). Remember when you came with us to the Shakespeare festival. How does it compare to the real deal???
ReplyDeleteAre the grounds kept up well? Is there an entrance fee to get into the historical areas? Do the Brits hold Shakespeare in as high regards as the Americans do?
ReplyDeleteYa Sunni- there were definately no naked men in our play, but I have heard that one time there was...I guess that is not a bid deal around here. Dad- ya depending on where we went there was an entrance fee, but I don't think that all of the properties that we went to had a fee. I think that Shakespeare is kind of a bid deal all over. That is at least the impression that I got from these properties, and from going to the globe theatre.
